Struggles we encountered when filming and editing

We encountered a few problems when the filming process began. One such thing was the weather for the days we needed to film outside, which resulted in us having to change the schedule for filming and then to reorganise with the actors we needed. Another problem was that some of the shots that we wanted to use were tricky to capture, especially during filming for the Darkroom scene as the camera didn't focus manually due to the room being red and being darker then usual. This meant that we had to use manual focus for the camera which took more time to do however the final outcome looked better as the shots were actually in focus.

When we began editing we only encountered a few minor inconveniences. One of these were that during the final scene we wished to have a mask that would fade in each photo from a blank image gradually into the photograph, as it would show the audience the developing photos. We couldn't do this due to Premier pro only allowing us to have one single mask on a scene at one time so we could not have each photo fade in which made it look weird and break continuity slightly. However we fixed this by just using a simple dissolve for the photographs and using an insert shot that we had spare to put in between, which wasn't what we intended but it still worked and kept the continuity of the scene well. The only other problems we encountered were the masks for the scene with Rose were her hair was highlighted red, we finally managed to do this however it was time consuming due to us having to edit the mask frame by frame.

These were the only problems we encountered that really hindered us in our filming and editing however we managed to fix or work our way around each problem.
